The CAN-SPAM Act (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act) is a US federal law enacted in 2003 that sets requirements for commercial email messages. MailTantra is designed to help you comply with CAN-SPAM and similar laws worldwide.
This policy explains how MailTantra itself complies with CAN-SPAM in its own communications to you, and how we help you — as an outreach operator — comply with the law in your campaigns.
In our own email communications to you (product updates, newsletters, alerts), MailTantra:
When you use MailTantra to send campaigns to your prospects and leads, you are the sender of those emails under CAN-SPAM. You must ensure your campaigns comply with the law.
Required for every commercial email you send
MailTantra includes built-in compliance features to help you meet your legal obligations:
If you send emails to recipients in other jurisdictions, additional laws may apply:
MailTantra's compliance tools are designed to be flexible enough to support these frameworks, but you are ultimately responsible for understanding the laws applicable to your specific campaigns and recipient locations. We recommend consulting a qualified legal professional if you have questions.
Non-compliance with CAN-SPAM can result in fines of up to $51,744 per email. MailTantra takes compliance seriously and will terminate accounts that repeatedly violate anti-spam laws or that are used to send spam.
If you believe a MailTantra customer is violating anti-spam laws, please report it to abuse@mailtantra.ai. We investigate all credible reports.
